OVC (aka Nathan Koch) is a long-time Chicagoan who can never get enough of the deepest and dubbiest strains of techno. He's always trying to find some space between the dance floor and home listening, and usually ends up in a surprisingly emotional, melodic, and head-nodding place in-between. After a year long residency at Chicago’s Sonotheque in the late 2000’s Nathan hid out and lost himself in a mix of studio hardware and records from labels like Meanwhile, Styrax, and echospace [detroit], building a stripped-down setup and emerging only to perform live visuals (alongside the likes of Bvdub and Intrusion) at a series of underground parties on the city’s northwest side. Now, head poised over his mixer he weaves together deep narratives out of a collection of blinking sequencers and drum machines, always assisted by a generous dose of reverb and delay.
