Ouchi-S is a Kyoto based DJ. He started his career as Funk DJ in 2010, playing mainly funk, soul, and jazz music of the '60s '70s. He participated in a Kyoto’s prominent deep funk party 『FUNK78』at that time. As he advanced in DJ’ing, he made a commitment to build his career by playing deep house, chicago house, Detroit house, and minimal house. He also loves the vinyl and most of the time pilots turntables, delivering a sound that boldly expresses his funkness. Currently, he is playing in an underground techno/house party『Connected Underground』,『Deep Underground』,『yelltail』, all held in Kyoto Metro where is a legendary night club in this historical city, and 『Equalize』at Compufunk Records in Osaka. In 2018, he released his own mixtape" inspired by there " focused on soul and jazz music. 京都を拠点に活動するDJ。 2010年頃より京都のファンクパーティー『FUNK78』のレジデントDJとして活動開始。 元来７inchシングル盤でのプレイスタイルをルーツとし、新旧のファンク、ソウル、ジャズ、その中でも特にサイケデリックな音源の選曲を得意とする。 影響を受けたアーティストは、James Brown、Tony Allen、Mulatu Astatke、The Whitefield Brothers、Jimi Tenor等。 2018年に発表されたMIX CD『inspired by there』には、それらの音楽に対する自身の解釈と敬意が収められている。 ファンクDJの活動と共に、2014年頃からはダンスミュージックへの更なる探究を求め、"国内外のアンダーグラウンドクラブシーンとを繋げる"テクノハウスパーティー『Connected Underground』(at Kyoto Metro)へ加入、"四つ打ちDJ"の世界へ。 主にディープハウス、シカゴハウス、ミニマルハウスを軸とした選曲とミックスを得意とし、ヴァイナルでのプレイに重きを置く。 "生音"と"四つ打ち"の両極なDJスタイルを武器に、活動開始以降、年間約５０本のイベント出演をこなす。 現在レジデントDJ務めるイベントは以下。 『Connected Underground』@Kyoto Metro 『yelltail』@Kyoto Metro 『Equalize』@Compufunk Records, Osaka 『Freewheel』@The Weller's Club, Kyoto
