An initiate of the East Coast rave scene, Max spent most of his formative years captivated by DJing and dance music culture of Baltimore, Maryland. After moving to Montreal in 2011, he established his first link to the local scene as an event promoter, then as an artist through his Max Mira and Ossifer monikers. Now a well-known face in Montreal's underground event circuit, he has opened for numerous influential names such as Developer, Magda, SPFDJ, Nur Jaber, and Anthony Naples. He also organizes regular afterhours gatherings in DIY spaces around the city via the Inner Circle, Exposé Noir, and vol. x events series, collaborating with some of the most innovative local crews and international artists on offer. Now co-head of techno label North Of Nowhere Records, Max hasn’t missed any opportunities to support and advance Montreal’s electronic music community to the best of his abilities.
