Originally from San Diego, California, OMR spent over a decade of his adult life on the east coast where he started to DJ as a college student in New Jersey. Like many new DJs, he started off by playing for private events, bars and eventually local nightclubs. Over the years, OMR transformed his sound and performance style with one thing in mind: “if I’m about to introduce dance music to people for the first I wanna make it count but I also wanna set a vibe for my veteran rave crew. I try to picture what that night is gonna sound like by creating stuff in the studio to complete the experience and try not to focus too much on any specific genre.” OMR did stints in the military, which has taken him all around the world, living in places such as Korea & Germany. “I’m so grateful that I got to experience that, it took me all over the world. I got to see firsthand the different flavors of electronic music. I fell in love with German techno, techno is king all across Europe so that heavily influenced my sound. But my first love will always be house music.” Expect new original tracks and remixes from OMR later this year.
