Her sonic practice blends ambient, early music, minimalism, and avant-garde, often combining electronic textures with acoustic instrumentation such as cello and zither. Deeply rooted in both sound and image, she works across mediums to communicate complex emotional states and layered atmospheres. Markowska was classically trained as a cellist at the State Music School in Łomża and later studied Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. Her solo releases, including the EP Thrills (2024, Kanu Kanu Recordings) and debut full-length album ISKRA (2025, Miasmah), delve into the textures of time, emotional memory, and the subtle sonic contours of place. Earlier, she co-founded the experimental duo Teufelsberg, releasing EP Uncomfortably Close (2021, SKAN Records), and continues to collaborate with artists such as Piotr Kaliński (Hatti Vatti), Stefan Wesołowski, Olgierd Dokalski (kIRk), and the KYMATIC ensemble. She has composed original music for installation and short feature and documentary films, including scores for Koka (2024) and In Heaven and on Earth (2023), and frequently contributes to benefit and concept compilations. Markowska has presented her work across Europe in both musical and visual contexts, including performances at Rheinsberger Musiktage zu Pfingsten (DE), Electrum Up to Date Festival (PL), Unsound (PL), Mi-So (Berlin, DE), and exhibitions at Copenhagen Photo Festival (DK), Gdańsk City Gallery (PL), and Theaterhaus Stuttgart (DE), among others. She has held residencies at the Musikakademie Rheinsberg (2024, DE), Cratoule Les Musarts (2024, FR), and the Centre of Polish Sculpture (2020, PL).
