Olesia Kova is a Tatarstan-born Finland-based DJ and event promoter. She spent her earlier life playing violin in a symphony orchestra and collecting disco records but after moving to Helsinki in summer 2019 started exploring the local electronic music scene and became fond of the ug-culture. Olesia had her debut DJ gig under alias OLB in March 2022 and soon was invited to play in the venues like Kaiku, Ääniwalli, Post Bar, Stidilä and Flow Festival. Apart from DJing Olesia works as an art educator and content writer. She also runs Vinyl Set nights in Kaiku's Kammari. The goal of the nights is to support -gender and -genre diversity, discover new talents and listen to records in a friendly environment. Before DJing Olesia spent a few seasons working at the local Helsinki theatres as a sound designer and theatre producer. Since November 2022 Olesia works as a radio producer and content writer on IDA Radio. In 2023 she joined Club Kaiku as a promoter and resident of a summer Thursday club Torjantai.
