ØKIA
Biografía
Økia is a techno artist and DJ shaped by movement, instability, and a deep sensitivity to space. Having spent his early life between cultures, his relationship with sound developed as a way to create control, safety, and meaning inside chaos. This foundation informs a practice that prioritizes atmosphere over spectacle and process over polish.
His sound sits in the faster, hypnotic spectrum of techno, driven by repetition, pressure, and subtle evolution rather than drops or overt narrative. Long blends, restrained energy shifts, and physical low end define his sets, which are designed to be immersive rather than performative.
Beyond DJing, Økia is deeply invested in the spaces where music happens. He is the founder of Racket, a location driven underground series that began as intimate balcony sessions and has grown into a platform for experimental settings, recorded performances, and community focused gatherings. Through this, he treats sound, architecture, and documentation as one continuous language.
Økia approaches music as a channel rather than a product. His work is less about visibility and more about resonance, creating moments where listeners can disappear, recalibrate, and reconnect with themselves inside the room.
