OITO//OITO joins Dupplo (Pedro Pinto) and Señor Pelota (André Soares) in this mission meant to share music not just via DJ sets but also as a record label releasing their own originals, edits and remixes. It’s the consolidation of almost 20 years of their experience in the electronic music scene in a common goal. Inspired by the genesis of the Acid House movement on the famous Summer of Love of 1988, this is not a revivalism, but a tribute to the DIY spirit of this timeless movement where the scene had no style barriers and the tribes mingled on the dance floor to celebrate love through music. Since the debut in April 2019, they have been DJ’ing all over Portugal with special highlights on the official After Party closing Vodafone Paredes de Coura ‘19 and the regular appearance at LuxFrágil, the most emblematic club in Lisbon, also having left their mark on other latitudes such as Amsterdam and Glasgow. The first record release was a very limited production 8’’ vinyl record of 88 copies that you probably won’t find anywhere, with two club edits of rare portuguese bands from the 80’s. The second release shares the same vibe but this time released via Tooli Creme record label from Porto. Also got the invitation to remix two portuguese artists, Almirante Ramos with a dreamy vibe and Knok Knok turned into a heavy slow burner, both released in 2021. Next EP will be out in early 2022 exclusively on vinyl, with two originals and remixes by Switchdance and Terra Chã.
