Ever the creative and progressive soul, oHME developed a keen ear for all that is stripped back and Neanderthal in essence, early embracing the 4/4 sound of underground house and techno. Taking his love of music, innate understanding of rhythm/groove/funk and his own unique outlook, oHME soon became a higly proficient DJ, and in no time at all, began to co-promote his own party in Birmingham called colore` In 2010, oHME took to producing music with his long time promoter, DJ and producer friend Neil, under their moniker “Omey&Orme”. The duo played at Birmingham’s most highly regarded venues such as The Rainbow ,Lab 11, The Bulls Head and Bushwackers, quickly developing popularity on the scene, and getting bookings at many of Birmingham’s biggest events including GLAS, FORWARD, IF and 2.31. Now with a noticeably different style to that of Omey&Orme, oHME has veered off in a new direction to cut himself a path through the undergrowth of the minimal funk and techno. oHME injects everything he does with the passion, decisive individualism and distinctive imagination which have characterised his lightning progression in the scene thus far. His new party “Colore” is already making waves in the Midlands joining forses with major brands such as 2.31 and Leftfoot and bringing birmingham debuts to Andre crom & Dale howard. He is producing a flurry of records with a range of artists, and the future looks likely to hold some heavyweight times for oHME, his new sound and those around him
