Oblique

When a sound wave hits a surface, acousticians distinguish between the different angles of incidence - oblique incidence is when a sound wave hits the barrier in a non-90˚ angle. Since oblique incidence is not straight, it is rather reaching the inevitable purpose with a different angle every time.
