NXTA is a multi-genre DJ from Leicester playing Jungle, DnB, Jersey Club, Hyperpop, and everything in between. She first jumped behind the decks two years ago as a favour for a friend which quickly spiralled into a deep passion for mixing her favourite tunes. As a music lover disillusioned with the mainstream club scene, she soon found herself attracted to underground raves and Queer POC spaces. Here, her taste began to morph into what it is today, a collage of electronic music with Hip Hop, RnB and Dub influences. She draws inspiration from trendsetting DJs like Jyoty, Uniiqu3 and Lady Shaka, whose innovative styles resonate deeply with her musical vision. She has had the opportunity to show off her skills at the Montreux Jazz Festival and Pxssy Palace, appearing on Mondo Radio, Sigil Radio and Lowertone. As a core member of Internet Culture, a QTPOC Party collective, she believes in creating non-judgmental spaces centring Black and POC Partygoers and Artists. As such, she is committed to challenging the erasure of QTPOC from electronic dance music.
