Nuno Bernardino (PT) started DJing in 1996 and has, since then, performed in several events and venues, both in Portugal and abroad. In 2000 he founded, with Jari Marjamäki, the duo Ballet Mecânico which hosted radio shows (Rádio Oxigénio and Química FM), played dj sets and performed live (ZDB gallery and Festival Número, among others). For a decade and a half now he is a resident dj at the iconic A Capela bar, in Bairro Alto, Lisbon. He has performed in significant spaces in Portugal - Op Art, Europa, Musicbox, ZDB, Space, Casa da Música, Passos Manuel, Frágil and Lux - and abroad – Berlin (Suicide Circus), Chicago, Brussels, Ghent, Hamburg (Golden Pudel and Golem), Dusseldorf (Salon des Amateurs), Paris (Cabaret Sauvage and *Duuu Radio) and Lima (Cholo). He did 50 sessions of his own radio show – Rankle & Roil – on the online radio Radio Quântica (check radio quântica’s mixcloud). He favors American house and techno - mostly Chicago and Detroit – but his mixes also include proper raw disco edits.
