California-based DJ, and long-time Brooklyn resident Nooka Jones has been a record collector most his life. Early inspirations growing up in the midwest, grounded in Chicago and Detroit's legacy of house and techno; time spent in London during the heyday of dubstep, and a decade in New York immersed in the rich diaspora of disco, garage and beyond. Now based on San Francisco, Nooka hosts A Message from Earth on Fault Radio on the first Friday of every month. He organizes one-off parties with Venture World and other like minded souls, and has recently appeared at Chillits festival in 2023.
