Josh Korody is a full time studio producer/mixer/engineer who started dabling in electronic music via hardware and playing live PA sets starting in 2015 under the moniker Nailbiter. From 2015-2020 he released 2 LP's and 2 EP's on indie label Hand Drawn Dracula. These releases were based on gritty electronics, dark soundscapes and pulsing grooves. In 2019 he released an EP with longtime friend Jaclyn Kendall under the name TIN (Natural Sciences) and did 3 singles with MSTRKRFT's short lived ORO Records. In 2020, Korody decided to start his own techno based label (Nodding Heads Records) to have a home for his work, collaborations and finding like minded producers. He spent 2 years working full time on his productions honing his craft as well as simultaneously diving into DJ'ing and has since put out 10 releases of Solo EPs, Splits and Various Artist comps. He has seen support from DJ's like Ben Klock, DAVE The Drummer, Kaiser, Anfisa Letyago, I Hate Models, Francois X, Ignez, Slam, Ancient Methods, Ghost In the Machine, Patrick DSP, Max Durante, Headless Horseman, AADJA, Philipp Strobel, The Brvtalist, Stephanie Sykes, Ike Dusk, Measure Divide, Modular Phase, Hioll, Don Woezik [Raw], Umwelt, Esther Duijn, Samantha Togni, Kuetzal, Kozlov. Josh works closely with the Toronto Collective Combo Breaker, as well as FORMAT regular. He ran a monthly techno radio show (Nodding Heads on ISO Radio) for 2 years and has thrown his own underground outdoor parties in Toronto. He's a big believer in community building, supporting and nurturing a music scene however he can. He has released music on other labels such as KR Records (Paris), Out Of CTRL (UK) and Krachtover (Netherlands) and has shared bills with Henning Baer, Ø Phase, Ancient Methods, AADJA, Measure Divide, KI/KI, Drew Mcdowall, E-Saggila, Group A, Psychic TV, Minimal Violence and Nonotak.
