Ever since discovering house music in the late 1980's in the UK, Nick Welton has been a DJ. He may have been too young to experience an acid house dance floor, but the music had him hooked. His DJ journey had a typical start - every spare penny spent on vinyl, house parties & youth clubs. 3 years in the city of Hull gave him his first proper club DJ experiences, at the revered Room club. During the mid-nineties, he was a regular guest at Manchester's infamous Bowlers club, at the iconic night 'Life', as well as holding down residencies in his home town of Liverpool. It was his move to London in the early 2000's that changed the game, with multiple residencies allowing him to hone his craft with sets of up to 7 hours. His love of all things house, from soulful to acid, would be showcased during these sets, truly building the energy in a room. After winning IDJ magazine's Bedroom Bedlam mix competition, Nick began to draw more attention, securing multiple gigs at The Ministry Of Sound, Pacha, Egg and notably East Village, which became a spiritual home for him. After hooking up with the legendary Boys Own/Faith crew, he played alongside the likes of DJ Sneak, Danny Rampling, Norman Jay and other legends in a heady couple of years. A move to the Netherlands has allowed him to spread his wings across Europe, but he reruns to London on 7th September 2019 for Faith's huge 20th Anniversary bash, playing alongside Terry Farley, Stuart Patterson, Dave Jarvis, Bill Brewster, Leo Elstob and new leader of the nu-school, Byron The Aquarius. After 28 years, he is just getting started.
