The Scottish producer’s 5-EP back catalogue tracks the journey of his evolution as an artist – from the energetic ‘Ancient Sequence’ released on Herzblut in 2013, to the critically-acclaimed ‘Insect Parade’ released on Traum Schallplatten in 2014, Nick’s projects have demonstrated his ability to create uniquely intricate melodies and express a diversity of sentiment in his music. 2014 saw the release of two further EPs – ‘Armour Plated’ and ‘Pocket Harmony’. The former in particular emphasised Nick’s capacity to create deconstructed, glitch-infected sounds through the analogue-infused track ‘Goujian’; whilst the latter proved his ability to venture outside the realms of conventional club music through his tempestuous track ‘Leap’. As well as producing a string of successful remixes – most notably Sebastian Mulliert’s ‘Direct Experience’ in 2015 - Nick released his 5th EP ‘Myrrh’ in 2016. Bridging the gap between melodic techno and electronica, ‘Myrrh’ further cemented Nick’s position as an ever-evolving musical storyteller. May 2019 saw the release of Nick’s debut album ‘The Weird’ - the first release on his newly formed label, Other Realm. Drawing on inspiration Nick found from moving between Berlin, New York, Paris and Scotland - This debut album touches on themes of expectation, despair, and hope; weaving intricate narratives through dream-like ambiences, earthy textures and sophisticated melodies.
