NeO

NeO's first taste of Drum and Bass was at 15 when he would travel on coach trips to his local raves taking a gamble on wether he would get in with his fake ID. The first rave was Slinky in Bournemouth with some friends who were there to see the hardcore main room acts. NeO not interested decided to check out the second room where there was Drum and Bass, he witnessed a jungle set from the legendary Nicky Blackmarket. Inspired but this NeO decided to go more and more raves and eventually bought some cheap decks. With no one locally sharing his passion NeO decided to seek professional advice and was put in touch with house DJ John Taylor. NeO visited John at his studio and was taught many different techniques and styles of mixing, with this information in hand NeO returned to his home town Portsmouth to master the new skills. A few months later NeO contacted a small internet radio station called getlockedon.com formally Aspire Radio. He held a set fridays 6-7:30pm for over a year building many friends and contacts within the scene during this time met DJ MX also joined shedbass.com. MX and NeO formed a partnership doing weekly shows and over a few drinks one evening discussed setting up thier own station with help of an old friend Herbz. In March 2007 KRISISDnB.com was born and over the past couple of years has grown to be one of the most popular Drum and Bass internet radio stations. KRISISDnB has put on many events both in the UK and around Europe ranging from radio show specials through to club events. NeO has both promoted and playied at many of these events and continues to receive regular bookings from private promotors.
