Neo is a Newcastle upon Tyne–based DJ and radio host whose work spans minimal, microhouse and rolling, groove-led electronic music. His approach focuses on selection and flow, with sets shaped by understated, leftfield and hypnotic elements. Alongside DJing, Neo hosts a regular show on Slack’s Radio, where he explores underground music from different parts of the world. His current series, “Udder Sounds,” invites guest artists to share and discuss music that has influenced them but is not typically heard in club-focused contexts, including ambient, experimental and world music. Each episode concludes with a b2b2b mix alongside co-host Frod, moving into a more rhythmic, dance-oriented direction. In February 2025, he supported Congo Natty, Killa P and Yemz at the MOBO Awards Fringe club night at World HQ. Within Newcastle, Neo has played at venues including Ernest Café Bar and Tokyo Bar, appearing with nights such as Electrobass and Foreplay, a sister event of Granville Collective. He is set to support Adam Curtain in January 2026 as part of the Keep Moovin’ series. Alongside club performances, Neo remains involved in the local scene through ongoing radio work and collaborative projects.
