Nems, also known as Gorilla Nems, is a well known rapper, content creator, social media celebrity, icon, star, entrepreneur and popular host from Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York City. Born on December 12, 1985 in Coney Island, Travis Leon grew up with his mom in o’dwyer gardens housing projects. Well known rapper, content creator, social media celebrity, icon, star, entrepreneur and host, is best known for his appearance on MTV2's Fight Klub in early 2006, his 2021's viral catchphrase "Bing-bong", and his popular "Don’t Ever Disrespect Me" series. In early 2000s, he started his music career, by winning almost every rap battle in his homeland. He soon became well in underground hip hop world of New York. He established his name in underground hip hop arena, untill in 2006, when he appeared on national TV MTV2's Fight Klub. This marked the year when nems started gaining popularity and fame in public. In the year, Nems starred in the Fight Klub league of MTV2, with the most wins in the league’s history. He won a whopping 25 games in the competition. After becoming a popular MC at the fight Klub, Nems focused back on underground hip hop in his area, and released several EPs and mixtapes. In 2010, he finally released his first album, and then just continued releasing more and more albums in next decade.
