However, with the decline of Detroit raves following the enactment of the Rave Act in 2002, Nels took a hiatus from the scene. During this period, Nels embarked on a transformative expedition to the secluded fantasy island of Kava Kon. Here, he immersed himself in crafting the exotic sounds of the South Pacific adding a unique depth to his musical repertoire. Now, after two decades, Nels makes a triumphant return, reigniting his passion for live electronic performances alongside his brother Trent Truesdell. Armed with an arsenal of analog synths, Eurorack Modular systems, and drum machines, the duo orchestrates live arrangements and patches, seamlessly blending the past, present, and future of electronic music into a captivating and immersive experience.
