Nerea Del Rio moved to New York in 2014 and has been since part of the Brooklyn queer underground scene, warehouse parties and long techno nights. It was here where she started cultivating the appreciation for harder and industrial sounds that she always includes in her sets. Occasionally provides EBM sets that are influenced by her upbringing in the Basque Country, where punk and hard rock where the main sounds. She is a regular on the local circuit and her name is associated with parties and sets of high intensity, energy and darkness. She throws a monthly event at Bossa Nova Civic Club called Distrikt1 where she invites already established local DJs as well as new talents. She is very prolific on mixes and has been publishing them in several countries across the globe like Germany, Canada, USA, Spain or Netherlands.
