Naive
Biografía
Born in the early 1980s in Argentina, Mauro Mart began exploring the world of music at the age of 15, initially diving into the realms of Psychedelic Rock and Post-Punk through the guitar. At the same time—and increasingly so—electronic music started capturing his attention, thanks to bands like Joy Division, New Order, Depeche Mode, and Kraftwerk, among others. After acquiring various skills—both technical and musical—as well as mastering the art of reading a dancefloor and other qualities essential to a seasoned artist, Mauro took his first professional steps, sharing lineups with renowned figures in the scene such as Adriatique, Audiofly, Lee Buridge, Shall Ocin, Steve Lawler, M.A.N.D.Y, and Agoria. This path eventually led to the creation of a completely different artistic concept: his alter ego, Altair. Altair debuted on the dancefloor alongside Acid Pauli, one of the most forward-thinking DJ/producers in the global electronic scene, while simultaneously releasing tracks on labels like Lump Records and Tropical Twista Records. After a long period of musical and artistic growth—during which he explored different genres and paths within music—Mauro Mart introduces Naive, his new project filled with versatility, skillfully blending a wide range of sonic resources across stylistically diverse territories that often seem at odds, yet remain entirely coherent. Focused on the present and constantly seeking new, more expansive horizons, Naive is defined by a sound shaped by Psychedelic Disco, Italo Disco, Next Wave Acid Punk, Acid House, Electro, and many other eclectic influences. His relentless pursuit of genre-defying music has always been one of his most distinctive traits, consistently searching for hidden musical gems that transcend the boundaries of electronic music. He has released music on labels such as Sinchi Collective, Lassi International, Natura Viva, Street Records, Bar Melodía, Frequency in Motion, among others.
