Relocating from Algeria to the UK in 2017, her technical aptitude made her a sought-after presence on the club circuit impressing at venues like The Steelyard in London, The Arch, Waterbear, and Volks in Brighton. Her prowess also secured coveted slots at Warm Up and Solfest festivals, where she shared stages with luminaries such as Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, Moshic, Budakid and Kasper Koman. Nadia's flowing melodic style is showcased through her regular radio shows on Frisky Radio and Saturo Sounds, a journey she's sustained for four years. With her following growing exponentially, her distinctive artistic voice resonates powerfully, making waves in an industry awash with white noise. Originally hailing from Scotland, Nadia's formative years were spent in Algeria amidst civil unrest. Dance music was her sanctuary, offering hope and solace amid chaos. Breaking barriers as the sole female club DJ to emerge from Algeria after the challenging Black Decade, her path was far from straightforward. Drawn to rave culture and an industry that seemed elusive, she remained steadfast in her passion despite cultural restrictions. In a country where record shop owners at this time were pressured to close or face death, she remained defiantly transfixed by the dance music scene. Witnessing Paul Van Dyk in Scotland in the early 2000s ignited her determination to use music as a unifying force in Algeria's post civil war landscape. Despite adversity, she helped to catalyze the local dance music community, navigating geo-political and geo-economical hurdles to access new music and acquire music equipment. In 2017, she embarked on her journey to the UK, quickly becoming a highly respected selector with a bustling schedule. From appearances with Modern Agenda in Amsterdam and London to Progressive Astronaut and the Prog Lab, she cultivated a devoted following. Nadia's trademark lies in her evocative melodic soundscapes, fluid mixing, and sonic storytelling. Embracing new horizons, Nadia’s recent projects have underlined her holistic approach, as she has delved into the field of Sound Therapy while also participating in a visual arts project that weaves Algerian heritage with dance culture. The latter project beautifully melds the iconic Tassili cave paintings with imagery from the dance music scene.
