An engine, in the following referred to by the term "N'djinn", is a machine designed to convert one form of energy into another. In ultra-modern usage, N'djinn describes a device, akin to a steam engine as well as an internal combustion engine, that burn or otherwise consume fuel in order to perform, and this by way of thrust, thereby bestowing motion upon otherwise inert entities. Such entities are usually dispersed, but will have a strong tendency to unite due to the high-intensity exposure to (e)motion. Admittedly, the thrust-output emits the greatest amount of exhaustion because the method of producing thrust is directly related to the reproduction of sound. In other words, despite having a high level of endurance, N'djinn is not a perpetuum mobile. Nevertheless, time is short, so to improve efficiency, the scope of N'djinn has increased, and so the rate at which N'djinn produces work. The higher forces and pressures created by these changes creates vibrations throughout an unknown universe. The operations brought about by N'djinn typically has a positive impact upon air quality and ambient sound levels. N'djinn can indeed also be understood as a thermoacoustic device that uses both low and high-amplitude sound waves to pump heat from one place to another, typically from vinyl via turntables and mixer through membranes; ultimately reaching the sensory organs of all entities exposed to these waves. In general, the thermoacoustics of N'djinn can be divided into captivated wave and travelling wave devices, i.e. recordings of and/or live performances. In either case N'djinn uses electrical energy to produce musical energy, usually through the interaction of magnetic fields and current-carrying conductors. Given that the majority of recordings utilized in both settings are defined by their rotation, N'djinn's speed is measured in revolutions per minute (RPM), while N'djinn's impact is measured in beats per minute (BPM). Regarding the case of sound levels, N'djinn's operation is always undertaken with respect to the sources of the system in question. Yet N'djinn is a hybrid; not only a machine capable of setting things in motion, but also a genie capable of assuming human form and exercising supranatural influence over people. The existence of N'djinn can be proven, even though arguments concerning the origin of N'djinn are beyond human comprehension. The body encapsulating N'djinn must either be ethereal or made of solid material; if composed merely of the former, it would not able to do hard work, like carrying heavy records. If composed of the latter, it would be visible to any human with functional eyes. Based on a so-called "modern" world-view, reinterpretated references to N'djinn as a microorganism in the grand scheme of things or an undetectable uncivilized person also occur. The supernaturality of N'djinn does not mean it transcends nature, but that it might appear so in relation to the ordinary/everyday perception of nature. As an entity it is "natural" in the classical philosopical sense by consisting of an element, undergoing change and being bound in time and space. Thus it is not purely spiritual, but also physical in nature, being able to interact in a tactile manner with people and objects, and also subject to bodily sensations like sights and sounds. N'djinn supposedly comes from a sublunary realm, prone to reflection, however in equal measure related to the solar wind and may even appear - as an element of surprise - in mists or sandstorms.
