Muscle Memory is the NYC duo of Steven Reker and Michael Tapper. Fusing Synth-Pop, Proto-House, and Post-Punk, they create dance music with influences spanning the Paradise Garage to The Hacienda. Steven, a choreographer and musician, collaborates with artists such as David Byrne, Khruangbin, and Miranda July. Michael, a seasoned drummer, previously played with the bands We Are Scientists and Fool’s Gold. Crafted with vintage synths and drum machines, their music translates the energy of their DJ sets into vivid live performances.
