MURI

MURI is a DJ, producer, and curator born in Curitiba, Brazil, now based in Lisbon. He came to electronic music through hip-hop — through the discipline of the crate, the instinct for a groove, the weight of a well-placed bass note. That foundation never left. It shaped how he listens, how he selects, and how he plays. His approach to the minimal is not about genre. It is about restraint as a tool — the space that lets music breathe, the tension that earns its release, the groove that moves a room without telling it where to go. From that stillness, he moves freely: across house, across techno, across electro, following the thread wherever it leads. In 2023, he founded Minimalista Records in Lisbon — a label built on the same philosophy. Since then, MURI has played across Europe, from Lisbon's underground clubs and rooftops to showcases at ADE 2024, Dublin, Barcelona, and London. He is currently at work on new productions, pushing the edges of what the label sounds like. The search is ongoing.
