Mulljoy
Biografía
Since their auspicious beginnings at monthly residency OurHouse in revered Dublin landmark, The Pod, the guys have been building a following all across Ireland while also spreading the Mulljoy brand throughout Europe with appearances in London, Berlin & Ibiza as well as an exciting upcoming appearance at hugely respected Berlin club, Kater Blau this November.
When they're not busy standing behind decks trying to look busy the guys also take time to make daisy chains, build sculptures of butterfly wings and pose for moody press shots. They also run a clubnight called Melodic, which has been pushing their famed melody driven styles of dance music since 2011 featuring guests such as Andrea Oliva, Dominic Eulberg and Coyu playing in some of the city's best loved venues like Twisted Pepper, The Button Factory, The Grand Social and more recently, Hangar.
Mulljoy have also featured heavily in the Irish festival scene, playing at fist-pumping convention, Life Festival, in 2013 and 2014 as well as DJing a closing set at bespoke hippy love-in, Knockanstockan. They debuted at Barn Dance in 2015 with a very well received, peak set.
Mulljoy continued to curate their monthly clubnight, Melodic, throughout 2013 playing to Dublin's finest party people with highlights from the year being slots in the Carl Cox owned Sands Beach Bar in Ibiza, Life Festival again and, perhaps biggest of all, a closing slot after the legendary Leftfield in the 2000 capacity Powerscourt Centre on New Year's Eve. A set which locals on the night said was easily the best they'd seen that year so far.
2014 was another bright year for the guys as Simon became engaged to his girlfriend while Shane opted to propose to a mint-condition Roland 909...both couples are very happy. Besides that Mulljoy played more international gigs in London, Berlin & Ibiza. Mulljoy continued to showcase their ability to warm up for some big name acts including Sasha, Groove Armada, Kenny Larkin, Nick Warren, Adriatique, Gui Boratto, Marc Romboy, Guy J and Deetron to name a few. Most recently, they warmed up for Josh Wink in Dublin's Opium Rooms who asked they guys if he could use one of their controllers for the duration of his set. They've since vowed never to wash it again.
This year Mulljoy will make their Electric Picnic debut, playing in the much loved Lewis Carroll-imagined musical wonderland that is Body & Soul in September, followed by a massively exciting support slot for DJing virtuoso James Zabiela on Oct 9th in The Academy. As well as these FOMO-inducing shows the guys will also continue as Melodic residents where they'll be joined by top international guests as well as the best in Irish talent, continuing to provide their committed fanbase with quality, melody driven styles of electronic music that will make you fistpump a hole into the o-zone layer! Upcoming guests include Innervisions hero Marcus Worgull, techno deviants Pig & Dan and rising house star Subb-an.
