I am a Jamaican Queer Transfemale artist from Toronto, born in Scarborough, raised by downtown Bashments and Raves. I think of music as a language. Mixing and Producing as her poetry. Ultimately my relationship with music has been about my healing and freedom, and I want to be fluent in healing and freeing others. For them to "release their inhibitions" lol. Currently my sound is "global", as I've grown to love the ability to hear the world in Toronto, but I am open format at heart. My genres of focus are Jersey Club, Baile Funk, House/ Tech & Rally House, Jungle, D&B, Juke, AfroRiddim, Amapiano, Dancehall/Soca, Dance Pop/R&B and much more in the near future. In reference to music and it's freeing nature. I've found music to be the breaker of my chains at so many vital moments in my life. Music and the energy of dance in its flow feel like I can alchemize my pain into joy, neutrality and even abundance. Throughout childhood I've been exposed to my family's sounds of freedom and that's imprinted musics vitality from an early age. As an young adult Parties like Strapped, Smoked, PepRally, Jerk, Bambeeno, Veneno, World Club, Dancing for Heaven and soo many more are where I've come to heal and witnessed others conduct collective healing as Dj's to the Dancefloor. There's times where my trauma is left on the Dancefloor. So I know that must be important for others globally.
