After being introduced to techno in 1998, leaving his metal background behind, he embraced the art of creating and embracing the wall of sound. After seeing his peers all DJ, he decided to take on Live PA as a point of difference. After studying audio engineering, he dived head first into hardware production. Playing out a few times, at what might have been the start of a music career, he left Melbourne for a life in London in 2002. After poking his head into the techno scene and not liking what he was seeing, and how new artists were treated, he abandoned music production for photography. He was after all, travelling the world, and expanding his horizons. After returning home to Australia for a holiday his partner was in a traumatic motorcycle accident, which turned their lives upside down. From then on his life was spent looking after his partner. Eight years later, thanks to the miracles of modern medicine, his partner was back on her feet and had her independence returned. He now had spare time to practice an art form again. Which one? So in 2015 Mr. Rachele decided to take up music production once again. With a new found freedom and a desire to just make tunes that made him dance around the studio, he started to collect hardware he dreamed of back in the early 2000. Mainly Elektron boxes and soon after the addictive format, eurorack. Mr. Rachele is a prominent member of the modular synth community, having started Modular Theme Time Sessions back in 2019. Today it has now become an integral part of the modular synth community, not only here in Melbourne but reaching around Australian and New Zealand, with artists globally joining the community. Bringing artists together and making music in collaborative environments, Mr Rachele's outputs are unique, beautiful and engage audiences with a warmth that is both machine and human to its core.
