Mr. Automatic is a Chicago-based DJ, and co-founder of Calliope Presents and Dead 2 Me Records. His style has its origins in Techno, House and Electro, but most recently he has been known for combining these styles with classic jazz and swing influences, as well as Glitch Funk and Glitch Hop. In his early career, he was involved in the Electro scene in Chicago, helping start the nights Modern Love and the long running Front 312 at Neo. After being booked to play sets at several Steampunk events by Steampunk Chicago, he became interested in the European Electroswing and Swing House sounds coming from the Freshly Squeezed label and French music curators, Bart & Baker. Along with Vourteque and performance artist Lady Lennox, he formed the successful Rouge! Neo-Viantge Cabaret and Dance Party in late 2013 in Chicago. Since then, they have taken Rouge! on the road to Detroit, New Orleans, St. Louis, and Electric Forest. In 2019, along with Vourteque and Pete Augusta, he helped to launch the Roaring City Festival in Chicago.
