Born in Surinam, South America. Mr. Andy spent most his live in The Netherlands and the last 11 years in Amsterdam. Brought up in the '90's, underground hiphop was the root. But it wasn't until 2011 that he picked the headphones. It was his friend and colleague that introduced him to mixing on a laptop, quickly thereafter buying decks. At that time deep into DnB, they started a weekly radio show on the oldest pirate radio in Amsterdam, at the most underground location imaginable. Which was literally underground next to the toilets in cultural hub and club OT301. In 2014 he teamed up with his partner(Mr. Andy & Freddy) behind the decks and since played at venues like DOKA, The Crane and Radion to smaller venues across the city. But also organising parties themselves at different locations around town. This was born out of the urge to get friends and "club" friends together in a less "club" environment but with great electronic music. Feeling that the local bars just didn't provide such an atmosphere and level of music. During the pandemic they were asked to join the "Further" collective. Which is a monthly clubnight by the legendary DJ Bone from Detroit at Nightclub Radion. So far being able to open on main stage for Dj Bone, Nastia and Ben Sims. Unfortunately due to corona other gigs involving Laurent Garnier and other headliners were cancelled, but it does look promising for 2022. Mr. Andy plays techno with lots of breaks, electro and can also knock out a good club set, most of which is sprinkled in acid.
