Biografía

As early as 1976, as a 9 year old boy, Manfred Pachel decided to be a musician for the rest of his life. He soon realised his passion for the guitar and 2 years on, owning his first E-Guitar he created his first band. That moment changed his life and there was no way back! In 1983 he met the band with which he would spend the following eleven years - Dead Anyway. This band burnt Rock and Roll into his soul. After countless shows and a change of both, style and singer, they recorded their first LP in 1991 which was subsequently published through the major label Metronome (Polygram). A second long player was recorded in 1992 after several support-shows and tours with acts like Girl school, UK Subs, Stone Temple Pilots, etc. Due to a massive fallout with their label this album unfortunately never got released. In 1993, the other guitarist left the band because of serious health issues; this had a major impact on the band’s social structure and energy and in 1995 they finally disbanded. At the same time, starting in 1992, Manfred found his love for electronic music. After countless sleepless nights in the techno scene of Mannheim and Frankfurt, Manfred decided to express his creativity through vinyl. What followed were a number of resident jobs in some well-known locations and clubs (see discography). In 1995 Manfred started producing his own music and released tracks of his own and in various collaborations on labels like Plastic City, Suburbia , Noom or Overdrive just to name a few. He always remained a rock-influenced musician at heart and that gives a certain edge to his way of spinning and producing. Parallel to his ventures in electronic music he started a couple of Trip Hop and NU Jazz projects to mix electronic and hand-made music. After a near complete health-collapse in1997, Manfred decided to retire from club life and focus more on producing and remixing. With two friends he set up an own imprint “TV-Whatever” to get his records to the masses. Manfred could simply not do without club life and in 1999 he opened the TV-Club (TV-Whatever) in Mannheim which managed to exist for more than over 5 years in spite of a total lack of commercial thinking. The club featured only local talent and received almost mythical status in Germany’s south. In 2000, Manfred toured Germany with Charlie McMahon, accompanying Charlie’s didgeridoo as both, guitarist and DJ. In 2004, Manfred accepted a leading position at the popular, international labels fine-audio recordings and tst recordings. In 2005 he returned to playing DJ sets, this time tech-house and electro, to go back to his roots and enjoy the different atmosphere in another music scene. For this project he uses his Artistname MP-Nuts aggain. Untill now he currently acts as resident DJ in two clubs and got his own Clubprojects wich are called “gehversuche” and “OBEN”. He also plays Clubs all over Germany and Europe. In the Summer of 2006 Manfred founded the Band “Hier” which he is mainly focussed on right now. With this project Manfred shows how far he can go in his musical versatileness. “Hier” is an accoustic pop band wich is about to release their debut album in spring 2011. He founded the Label “Hiermusik” wich is going to be the platform for all activities of this Imprint. For this project Manfred also uses his Dj – talent. http://www.myspace.com/mpnuts http://www.myspace.com/hierspieltdiemusik http://www.myspace.com/therealk33 http://www.myspace.com/obenklubk http://www.myspace.com/fineaudiorecordings
