Mount Palomar
Biografía
Pioneering Irish LGBT electronic producer, Neil Kerr, hit the ground running when he launched his Mount Palomar moniker in 2018. Booked to play the world famous Berghain nightclub in Berlin just days after his first live performance, he went on to play the iconic Berlin venue 4 times within his first year. Testament to the strength of his talents, a highly sought after peak time slot on the main Berghain floor for their gay pride party, established Mount Palomar as one of Ireland’s most exciting and forward thinking producers and live acts.
In 2019, Neil went on to self release two bodies of work, ‘Black Knight’s Tango’ and ‘The Perils Of Youth’ on his newly established Ursa Minor label. Spread across twin vinyl and clocking in at over 50 minutes long, both EPs disregarded normal arrangements and structures so often found in dance music and were widely praised for being emotive, inventive and bold.
Having shared stages with acts such as Bicep, Midland, Avalon Emerson, Objekt , Ross from Friends, Helena Hauff, Joy Orbison, Or:la etc... at venues such as Printworks London and on the Boiler Room stage at the AVA Festival, Mount Palomar was chosen by PRS For Music as one of the five techno acts to watch out for in 2020.
Having returned in September with stunning leftfield, electronic-folk track, Simmer, and follow-up raucous anthem, Echo Chamber, November 14th will see the release of Mount Palomar's exceptional new 4 track BRACE FOR IMPACT EP.
