Born in the Venezuelan Andes, this 27-year-old girl trained her ear to the rhythm of the drum and the Congo, and with the resonance of each clap she maintained the rhythmic pulse that accompanied her during childhood and adolescence. She spent much of her time discovering music on royalty-free platforms, which she downloaded and burned onto a CD. Her first approach to the scene came from Bob Sinclair’s global hit ‘World, Hold On’ in 2006, thus getting to know the ‘house sound’ that would serve as inspiration to continue discovering electronic and dance music. In collaboration with Plastic Academy, Morecca has been able to build her skills as a professional DJ while discovering a new artistic focus that has led her to musicalize diverse clubs and bars in Barcelona. Morecca currently focuses on transcending the dance floor via vibrant soundscapes with Latin influences and a distinguished bass line to always keep the vibe up.
