Mora (Fi)
Biografía
A non-binary QPOC ‘genre-polyglot’ also known as a deejay, curator and IDA Helsinki host on their show Shivers Radio specializing in the complexities and origins of sonic soundscapes and rhythmic (e)motion. You can spot them around at a very cute club near you.
MORA has been keeping it hot around the globe being featured on HÖR Berlin, Movement Athens and Echobox Amsterdam, but where will they go next? ‘’ I’d love to expand and keep sharing my sound and represent the queer, POC communities as well as experimental and fast club sounds within the scene while keeping the roots of the music I love, present and alive. ‘’
They also work actively within the creative community-based concept alias post êxistance. It challenges the constructs of conventional, societally restrictive molds through experimentalism and representation while making space; the safer kind.
Breaking structures and making way through the shameless, deconstructing the reconstructed and leaving a mark without a trace. A trip to ethereal realms and inter-dimensions infused with harsh and punchy broken beats.
Experience in hosting venues, concepts and organizing events at clubs, exhibition centres, art spaces, events outdoors and all around Helsinki underground. Their sets can vary from tribal experimental hybrids, happy hardcore, deep, soulful and bouncy grooves to smooth and flowy highs versus dark, harsh and dystopian.
BIPOC, Queer, Safer Space and Sensory Friendly values and the acts supporting them, stand in the forefront of anything organized or participated in by MORA.
