Over the years Monako has cemented himself into the thriving bass and techno scene of Eora (Sydney) as a triple threat – a producer, DJ, and label boss. Responsible for cofounding Big Ting Recordings, Monako has helped bring some of the world’s most renowned and accomplished artists to the city, and created exposure for many local artists imprinting their sound on the scene. As an artist, Monako has refined his signature sound, engraving breakbeat, techno, jungle, and ambient components into his club-ready productions - which has scored him releases and support from independent record labels across the world. While he continues to grow his list of achievements, Monako proudly represented Australia at Croatia’s infamous Outlook Festival in 2016 and has since donned the stage at stateside events such as Subsonic, Secret Garden, Soft Centre, Dragon Dreaming plus a myriad of other parties across the country’s warehouse and club scene. Monako maintains an ear for menacing basslines and crunchy thumping drums within his sets, stretched across various tempos and unrestricted to genres in the electronic realm. His love for music and varied taste has made Monako a chameleon of a DJ, adjusting and immersing himself into any environment he finds himself in.
