Mohobrac is a project founded in 2023 by Simon Hoffmann (cello & sound design) and David, also known as Klaustrophil (drums & synths). Simon brings a background in classical music, while David feels home in the world of hard and dark styles of techno. Together, they create a unique club experience by merging these two musical realms. Inspired by the heartbreaking story of the extinct Kauai Oo bird (aka Moho Braccatus), Mohobrac takes their listeners on an emotional journey through a dystopian soundscape. Not only the range from dark ambient and doom jazz to hard-hitting industrial techno, but also improv elements make each performance its own unique experience.
