MMRI (Caleb Klager) commands a deep sense of maturity in his sound, from grimey soundscapes to pumping grooves. His live sets demonstrate his natural ability to conjure nuanced and tessellating polyrhythms, captivating listeners from start to finish. Before delving into electronic music, MMRI had studied jazz performance as a bassist, solidifying his close relationship with sub-octave grooves and rhythm and playing a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of techno that he performs. MMRI's hyper-intentional and precise improvisational style has led him to be an acclaimed artist participating in many influential festivals and event series such as Toronto's TONE Festival, MixTO, and Carousel Collective. In July 2024 he will be releasing his debut EP on Toronto label Nodding Heads entitled "Kinetics" (NH013).
