MLE is a DJ/producer, artist, and educator from Southwest Houston. She is an open-format DJ centering Afro-Caribbean and Afro-diasporic sounds, traversing genres and time periods in each of her sets. Her musical influences draw from her Panamanian heritage, Texas upbringing, and future sounds that she sculpts through her own production. She is founder of Tumbao and Diablo Rojo Sound a musical archive, event curation platform, and record label inspired by Caribbean sound system culture and spotlighting Black and Brown creatives globally. Her sets are sonic stories traversing global genres with the intention of healing through sound and movement.
