Miya Lowe, formerly known as Figure Skater and Evaboy, is an incredibly eclectic and eccentric electronic musician and vocalist from Elk Grove, California and currently based in San Francisco. Her eclecticism when it comes to her artistic expression spans greatly, from exploring the sounds of fast-paced 160bpm footwork and ghettotech, to bass-heavy UK 140bpm soundsystem music, to extremely lo-fi noise and hypnagogic pop, always showing her respect for the genres and their originators by keeping the blueprint for these sounds in place while still making it noticeably and distinctly her style. Her publicly available musical discography spans over a decade and goes under multiple different aliases, with hours and hours of music that's completely different from the last, while at the same time somehow always keeping it all consistent. Her vocal work and lyrics often explore subject matter relating to paranoia, social alienation and avoidance/mutism, and living with and trying to propely connect with others while having a stunted sense of empathy.
