Mithra (fka Streets) is the latest sonic effort of Chicago native Amir Mashayekhi. The new alias derives from stylistic crossroads & an attempt to tether his downtempo origins to club-centric genres, proudly fusing his Latin & Persian heritage along the way. This results in challenging yet emotive DJ sets where no niche is left unexplored, from oddball techno to frantic jungle & beyond. He is also the co-founder & label manager of Satellite Era, having spearheaded countless A/V projects around the experimental music sphere.
