After a near death experience while backpacking through in rural India when Mitchell was a new art school graduate, Mitchell set out on a journey to transform millions of lives through art, music, and technology. For the next ten years, Mitchell dedicated his adult life to reconstructing cities ravaged by conflict, from the desolate streets of Mogadishu, Somalia to the war-torn expanses of Afghanistan. During this time he meticulously captured the raw sounds of his surroundings, while producing hip hop with Africa artists from diverse corners of the continent, including Somalia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and The Congo. From this work and his research on artificial intelligence at Carnegie Mellon University, Mitchell was recognized by President Obama as Presidential Innovation Fellow at the White House. He then co-founded an AI company with entertainment mogul Thomas Tull, the visionary founder of Legendary Entertainment. Today, Mitchell composes electronic dance music by using AI to transform the sounds collected throughout his life into intricate and emotive compositions. His live sets are a transformative journey, seamlessly transitioning from downtempo art events to electrifying festivals and parties, captivating audiences with every beat.
