Misha Mir

Seattle-based DJ and Restless Planet co-founder Misha Mir has spent the past several years embedded in the city’s underground, moving between clubs, rooftops, warehouses and community spaces. A resident with Makes Me Human and formerly known as Interwave Surfer, he has played for Seattle crews including Routine Radio, Soft Option and Studio 4/4, while sharing lineups with artists such as Harrison BDP, tINI, Paolo Rocco, Baltra, Liquid Earth and Audiojack. His sets explore the deeper ends of house and techno, with minimal, dub, electro, breaks and leftfield records woven through. Rooted in the lineage of Detroit and Chicago but connected to a wider global underground, his sound carries some of the warm, psychedelic character of his earlier work while becoming increasingly driven by digging, patience and the needs of the room. A restless record collector with a soft spot for long blends and gradual shifts, Misha looks for tracks with space, personality and a sense of discovery. His sets can move from sunset drift and deep warm-up territory into late-night pressure without losing the thread. Through Restless Planet, he helps curate releases and events built around timeless underground music, genuine community and connections between Seattle and artists from further afield.
