Biografía
At the age of 18, Mimi began her journey in the nightlife industry as a hostess, managing cover charges and handling the VIP guest list.
Over the years, she worked her way up in the industry, taking on roles in door management, glamping and hospitality services, bartending, promotions and marketing, ultimately becoming a DJ for numerous venues and events throughout San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Hawaii, Ecuador, and Baja California. Her diverse experience includes performances at nightclubs like Spin in San Diego, bars such as The Office in San Diego, and festivals including Love Fest in San Francisco. Mimi has collaborated with crews such as Soul On Beat, Siesta, Sublevel, Love Machine Festival, Disco Erotika, SuperFreq, Late Night Jackin’, Lady Lush, Lifted Entertainment, Giant (LA), and We Are One.
She has had the honor of opening for notable DJs including Doc Martin, Pete Moss, Alix Alvarez, Tato, Halo, Joshua Heath, Colette, DJ Heather, DJ Dayhota, Lazaro Casanova, David Alvarado, DJ Frances, Blackliquid (Hed Kandi UK), Derek Dunbar, Hector Moralez, Chuck Love, Roy Davis Jr., Miguel Migs, Gene Farris, Giano, Fred Everything, and Franky Boissy.
After deciding to pursue graduate school, Mimi took a break from the nightlife scene for nearly six years. She has now returned and launched Mimi’s House Music & Travel. This venture includes sharing live recorded DJ sets on her SoundCloud channel, offering door management services for special events, and planning "ravecations," which will be available soon.
