Milad’s first contact with the music scene was through hip-hop and rap. During his teenage years he started to perform and record locally; south-western Iran. In 2009 he left Iran with hopes to pursue a career in the rap scene in London. Soon his dream shifted direction. The London underground parties introduced him to the sounds of Techno, a breakthrough to his musical journey. Being a vinyl enthusiast, he started to collect different types of records, from Classical to Jazz, Blues and obviously House and Techno which he has a very rich collection of. Milad started forming his style by showcasing his talent playing deep, rare records in warehouse parties in East London. His electrifying sets create a groovy atmosphere, while the heavy bass lures his audience into a surreal journey. After finishing his studies in Sound Engineering/Audio Production at SAE London, Milad moved to Toronto, Canada. Taking the London ethos with him, he co-founded OONO; an arts and entertainment company. In the past few years DJ Milidi performed for the Athenian audience, during the launching event of OONO, at Romantso, Greece. Keeping touch with the London scene, during his visits he also played at Number 90, for Relaunch. Building his profile in his new city Milad started performing in underground parties in Toronto as well as established event series and venues such as Bridge Point, CPSL, Carousel Collective, Club Parkette, Gardiner Express, Paradox, Vertigo and Secret Society. Along his way in Toronto he has founded Bridge Point, a members only outdoor pop up party and co-founded UNDRGRND Toronto, a Sunday day event.
