Miiju (US)

Seattle-based Miiju (pronounced “mii-joo”) is emerging as a notable Filipino-American DJ and organizer in the Pacific Northwest. His eclectic taste merges electronic dance music genres such as club, techno and house with deep roots in hip-hop, R&B, and new age indie/alternative-pop. Born and raised across Greater Seattle to immigrant Filipino-American parents, Miiju (blend from his names Mike Julian) has been a DJ in the local scene since late 2024. Miiju sets can be described as eclectic, energetic, and soulful; merging electronic dance music genres like club, techno, bass, and house with flavors from different inspirations such as 90's r&b to fun internet anthems. Across all things, Miiju aims to leave the audience with feelings of fun, intrigue, and connection. Miiju currently organizes several regular events including: Overtime Contingency (club & techno), Memento & House Call (house), Unit B (bass), All My Friends (Hip-Hop & Open Format), and lastly a monthly Seattle/PNW DJ open decks. He has a strong interest in developing community, cultural education, and diversity in the Pacific Northwest DJ/creative scene.
