Michael has been at the forefront of the DIY party scene in Leeds for over a decade, most recently founding the pumping queer dance party - Love Muscle. Starting just over seven years ago, the party aims to provide an inclusive space for the LGBTQ population of the city with a slightly more discerning music taste. The night operates a strict no photography and safer spaces policy to allow people to truly explore who they want to be uninhibited. Love Muscle and its subsequent radio show on Sable Radio have provided a platform for him to bring some of the finest underground queer talent in electronic music to the city. Living in Leeds, a place that has distinguished itself for its abundance of quality resident DJs and community focussed clubbing collectives, Michael has still managed to stand out, being revered as one of the finest selectors in the city. He also hosts his own monthly radio show on Rinse FM called Queer Ears. The show aims to bring you queer DJs, known and unknown from the UK and around the world.
