One day Micheal Gubaew got up in the morning and decided to quit his job, leave his hometown Oldenburg and move to Berlin to become a House DJ/producer and promoter – and here we are. Now, four years later, Michael is not only a figurehead of the notorious KANVAS collective, he releases his productions not only by himself, but also on labels, such as the Italian “Shaman Records”. His sound fills dance floors all over Berlin and he hosts warehouse raves, even in his country of origin, Kyrgyzstan (a place where you go to jail for smoking joints). As a self-taught music producer, Michael Gubaew has solidified his signature sound incredibly quick and rigorously. His deep, concrete-breaking and hip-wiggling bass lines are made for elevating your feet off the ground and make you fly through the night with a smile on your face.
