Metaphysiq (formerly J.Claus) is an electronic music project of Jordan Claussen. Music is the universal language, sculpted layers of sound waves designed to communicate abstract emotions through vibrations. Metaphysiq uses this medium to blend layers of surrealism with groove laden rhythmic structures. He plays a myriad of different genres including, but not limited to, techno, electro, acid, breaks, UKG, etc. His sets range from intricate, driving polyrhythms to exuberant, swung breakbeats, to shuddering bass. He wanders the perimeter between emotion and tension. This quirky and inviting style aims to constantly introduce new elements and keep the dancefloor on their toes. His style has been described as future breaks and acid garage. He always includes elements of psychedelia and mystique that feel organismic.
