Biografía
Mel Souler is passionate about art and music, especially progressive sound and renaissance.
Her relationship with music starts with Mel playing several instruments at the school band. later on, influenced by the pop of GORILLAZ, the Jazz, the synthetic of Depeche Mode, the progressive music of Pink Floyd, Radiohead and of course electronic music, her sounds and mixtures are inspired by artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Khen, Nicolas Rada, Ewan Rill, Dmitry Molosh, Antrim, Fernando Ferreyra, among others.
Beginning as a DJ when she was 16, from playing first in parties with friends to debuting at the club Vertigo in San Jose. He graduates from DJLab as a professional DJ in the hand of artists like Esteban Howell and Richard Salazar. Mel has shared scenarios with international artists such as Antrim, Nicolas Rada,David Mayer, Iglesias, Anja, Barech and Saulo Pisa.
She has performed in places all over Costa Rica; Vertigo Club, the Antik, Selvatica, Casa Felix, El Garito, Cantina SCCA and the list goes on, She has been part of the lineup for festivals such as the electric city (Electric animals), Transitional Festival, Not That Undergroud among others. Outside Costa Rica, Mel showed herself at one of the events on "Dia de los Muertos" on CDMX.
Throughout 2020 Mel was able to develop more of her Dj career and to make more known by sharing podcasts with important brands like EGE, Proton Radio, Frisky Radio, PAD, Deeper Sounds, Nature Rec, FP Beats, Plipki Records (Albania) and more.
Her music is a deep tune full of groove, percussion, and color. Her sets are enriched by the sounds of deep house, organic house, progressive house, melodic house. You can feel the techno and indie dance filling out the spaces with elegant and progressive magic.
Mel Souler is part of the Reset Beats collective.
She is currently learning more about the Industry and Musically learning as a production student with Berni Turletti (The Soundgarden) and Mariano Montori.
